Wolford, Ph.D. President Emeritus, Earthnet Institute Former Dean & Professor of Health & Welfare Former Dean College of Nanoscience Allow me to introduce you to George Wolford, Ph.D., the founder and President Emeritus of Earthnet Institute. He served for 11 years as President of Earthnet Institute and continues to help guide its outreach as a member of the board. Prior to founding Earthnet Institute (ENI) in 1996, he enjoyed a career in real estate development and finance, followed by university level teaching. He has taught for 7 universities, three traditional, three online, two in China and one in Australia. Dr. Wolford is renowned as a candid speaker and teacher on a variety of subjects. He has made presentations to groups as diverse as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, American Psychological Association’s Annual Conference, Arkansas Prevention Institute, Sun yat-Sun University in China, the University of Arkansas Mid-South Summer School, and at the University of Hawaii. Additionally, he practiced psychology in a clinical setting as a resident for two years. He was the founder and Executive Director of three organizations: the San Diego Men's Center, Stability Training and Recovery (alcohol treatment facility), and Wolford Research Group, all in San Diego, California. He served on the Board of Directors of the Maui County Chapter of the National Mental Health Association, founded the Maui County Chapter of the National Council on Self-Esteem, and served as Regional Coordinator for the National Psychology Advisory Association for five years attending to all of the Western states in the United States. He has authored two screening instruments for neurological damage in both children and adults and has conducted innovative research in Community Based Asset Planning Groups, empowerment and community building. He is currently developing multi-lingual, multi-point video conferencing formats to deliver education to developing nations with the constant hope that cooperation in education can help break down barriers of misunderstanding and promote harmony among all people. Today, our President and his wife are secluded and focused on building ENI to its fullest capacity by working with programs and outreach internationally. In keeping with EarthNet Institute's altruistic mission, Dr. Wolford has shepherded the organization since inception in 1996 without pay. He has an Australian shepherd named Leah who is spoiled beyond redemption and two cats. He loves to sing and will seize near any opportunity to do so.
